Brooklyn, you are so cute! I've been terrible at following up on your blog, but I cannot wait to catch up and read your spiritual posts and see all your fun pictures! It looks like you are soaking in every moment of being a missionary and appreciating every minute of it! I love seeing your weekly messages on the billboard in the hallway of the church building, you are so full of light and love! I'm so happy for you and I sure miss you!

Writing Block

           So here I am, sitting at my computer, at 5:30 in the morning. There is something wondrous and important to be written. Something everyone needs to read. Something enjoyable, magical, with fantastic imagery and marvelous descriptive words.  Words that would brighten every one's day, help those in need, lighten up the sad, inspire someone to go out and serve. But instead, here I am, frozen solid at my desk, because I do not consist of the simplest of an idea of what those words are. This is what I call a writing block.           Writing blocks are so incredibly annoying. They are like a cage, just holding you back from the beautiful sunshine you want to bask in, the luscious,  fragrant flowers of endless vibrant colors. Nicole Ortiz as Sandy Cheeks: A Spectacle and A Triumph

 SpongeBob the Musical was a joyful celebration of friendship, hope, and goodness. The whole cast and crew put forth beautiful efforts and talents to make a spectacular show. Central to the show's success was the actress playing Sandy Cheeks, Nicole Ortiz. It is clear that Ortiz has innate talent and charisma that must have made her a clear choice in casting. However, the incredible amount of effort this role took to master can only be estimated as immense. With high kicks, impeccable flips, and being the most polished dancer on stage, the physical feat was truly a spectacle to witness. This is not to be overshadowed by her spectacular vocal power. In every song she performed in (so many!!), Ortiz maintained beautiful tone, while masterfully mixing her voice in the right moments to bring the delight expected in a great musical experience.
